Limbaugh: ‘Frustrating’ That GOP Candidates’ Egos Too Fragile to ‘Unify’
Rush Limbaugh said today it’s a little frustrating that the establishment’s chosen GOP candidate might win because of all the infighting among the conservative candidates.
In an ideal world, Limbaugh thought, all the conservative candidates––which he said is basically everyone except Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham––would get in a room together, and by the time they leave the room, they would agree on one conservative to rally around and would “not trash” in the name of ensuring a conservative candidate moves on to the general election.
But there’s one little problem. Limbaugh said, That’s gonna break down in the first five minutes because they all think they have the best chance. They all have the ego big enough to make ’em want to get into this in the first place.”
And it’s “frustrating” to him because “you don’t want to see a repeat of previous years where a bunch of really, really great conservative candidates end up eating each other alive out of the race.”
