Rush Limbaugh weighed in today on the controversy over “bathroom bills” in a number of states that have been decried as anti-trans.
Plenty of conservatives have expressed disgust with the idea of a trans woman using the same bathroom as little girls, and Limbaugh today said this is part of the left’s “us vs. them” culture war where they decry the “oppressive majority” every chance they get.
“The whole point of the us-versus-them battle has been to obliterate the whole notion of morality,” he declared. “Nobody can write laws that are based on morality and have them apply to everybody, because your morality may differ from mine, and there isn’t any universal morality. There isn’t any universal right and wrong.”
He said more traditional Americans are being dismissed as backwards old fogeys, when “you think you’re just standing up for what’s right and justice and wholesome and good.”
