Limbaugh on Pope-Trump Feud: ‘Who Is the Pope Working For?’
Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think it’s a problem for Donald Trump that Pope Francis intimated he’s not a true Christian, but he does have some questions about why the pontiff is speaking out on American politics like that.
He asked, “Who is the Pope working for? What is the Pope doing inserting himself… into the American political system this way? That to me is the larger question.”
Limbaugh genuinely wondered if the Pope is “doing it for anybody,” referring to him as yet another “establishment figure… who has not hidden his ideological alignment, much less his political alignment.”
He even responded to His Holiness bringing up walls by saying there’s a “wall surrounding the Vatican.” So there.
