Limbaugh on Ray Rice’s Fiancée: ‘How Bad Could It Have Been if She Said Yes?’
Upon finding out that the woman Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice knocked unconscious last February was his fiancée at the time, not his wife, Rush Limbaugh had to ask: “How bad could it have been if she said yes?”
Rice was arrested for hitting Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City casino last February, charges that were brought up to aggravated assault after video emerged of the incident and later Rice dragging her body out of an elevator. The NFL suspended Rice for two games last week, prompting outrage.
“She’s part of this equation — she just said yes?” Limbaugh said, in response to a caller who thought Rice married “that lady” on advice of his lawyers. “He decks her. They get married. Well how bad could it have been if she said yes to the proposal?”
“I know, NFL player, big bucks, fame,” he continued. “May be worth a hit to the jaw. I don’t know.”
