MAGA Activist Jacob Wohl Permanently Suspended From Twitter After Confessing Fake Account Scheme

Right-wing influencer Jacob Wohl was suspended from Twitter Tuesday afternoon, after he told USA Today he was going to create fake Facebook and Twitter accounts with hopes of influencing the 2020 presidential election.
In a front-page @USAToday story this morning, Jacob described his plan to create an “enormous” number of fake Twitter accounts to disrupt the 2020 election.

According to USA Today, Wohl planned to create “enormous left-wing online properties” on social media platforms and “use those to steer the left-wing votes in the primaries to what we feel are weaker candidates compared with Trump.”
The USA Today article, which likens Wohl’s intentions to that of Russian meddling in the 2016 elections, was published Tuesday morning. Wohl was suspended hours later.

A Twitter spokesperson said Wohl was suspended because he had violated Twitter rules by creating series of fake accounts on Twitter and other social media platforms, which were linked back to his personal account.
“The account was suspended for multiple violations of the Twitter Rules, specifically creating and operating fake accounts,” the spokesperson told BuzzFeed‘s Ryan Mac.

Back in October, Wohl was suspended by his former employer, The Gateway Pundit‘s Jim Hoft, after he created a series of fake LinkedIn profiles used to target Special Council Robert Mueller.
Wohl’s suspension from Twitter is permanent, according to Mac.
