On Thursday night, Mark Levin shared his thoughts about President Trump‘s tweets attacking MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
“Don’t I remember Joe Scarborough in the audience when President Trump was giving his State of the Union address jumping up like a clapping seal over and over and over again?” Levin began. “The guy’s been to Mar-a-Lago, he’s been to the White House, he’s been to Trump’s State of the Union… and now all of a sudden he’s part of a bad lounge act over there at the conga line of left-wing freaks they call MSNBC.”
Levin told Sean Hannity that liberals weren’t bothered by Bill Clinton, who he mentioned “was accused of rape and molesting and sexually attacking women in the Oval Office” nor Ted Kennedy, who he referred to as “the lion of the Senate” nor John F. Kennedy, but they “draw a line” with Trump’s tweet.
The conservative talk show host said the only reason why he objects to Trump’s tweet because he “jacked up the ratings for that nonsensical show.”
He then said this:
“But here’s the bottom line. You attack a man repeatedly who’s a proud man, who’s an accomplished man, who is a man’s man. You attack him personally. You attack him for his looks. You attack him for his genitalia. And at some point, a man’s gonna stand up. You want him to act presidential? Then you have respect for the office of the president.”
Levin added that he doesn’t condone the tweet, but said it “wasn’t the end of the world” either.
He went on to slam MSNBC, saying it’s “the same damn show with different people, different dresses, different suits,” He echoed the same sentiment to CNN, which he mocked for getting their ratings from “every damn airport.”
“Trump himself said ‘Look, one out of ten I screw up.’ Okay, one out of ten he screws up! That’s a better average than the media, now isn’ it?” Levin said about Trump’s tweets, which he encouraged earlier in the week.
Before wrapping up, he took a shot at Scarborough.
“I’m not president but let me try this one,” he warmed up. “You ever see the little banjo player on the bridge in the movie Deliverance? Now that guy looks like Joe Scarborough.”
In case you don’t know what he’s referring too, here’s the video.
