Michael Bay in Talks to Direct Benghazi Movie

Brace yourselves, because the director of Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor, and the Transformers franchise might be taking on a Benghazi movie as a project. That’s right, Michael Bay himself is reportedly in talks to direct a movie about the Benghazi attacks based on the book 13 Hours.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the man behind the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot is in negotiations to direct a movie following the events of that night at the U.S. compound in Benghazi. There’s already a script for the movie written by Chuck Hogan, a writer who’s had one book (Prince of Thieves) adapted as a film (The Town) and another adapted as a TV series (The Strain).

So, how exactly would a Michael Bay Benghazi film look? (Aside from a gratuitous number of explosions.)
