Michael Brown Reportedly Had Marijuana in His System
According to the autopsy performed by the St. Louis medical examiner — a different autopsy than the independent one commissioned by the Brown family — Michael Brown was shot between six and eight times from the front, and had marijuana in his system at the time of his shooting.
Mary Case, the medical examiner, confirmed only multiple gunshot wounds; an anonymous source close to the report told the Washington Post the remainder of the details.
The Brown family autopsy showed six gunshot wounds, though attorneys cautioned that it was a preliminary report, and said they welcomed the additional autopsies; another is due from the Department of Justice. The two medical examiners are peers, and it sounds as though there’s no bad blood over the competing autopsies.
Brown family attorney Benjamin Crump said he didn’t know anything about marijuana in Brown’s system.
