Vice President Mike Pence had a speaking engagement in Kansas City today, which was briefly disrupted by a heckler protesting President Donald Trump‘s immigration policy.
Even though its been weeks since Trump rolled back his policy separating migrant children from their families at the southern border, the administration is still dealing with a lot of political fallout over the matter. Much of this has to do with the White House missing their court-ordered deadline to start putting families back together, as well as the lingering questions about whether a government reunification system exists at all.
As such, when Pence spoke today in Kansas, he was cut off by someone shouting, “Where are the children? Shame on you!” The protester was soon led away amid boos and chants of “USA! USA!” from the crowd.
