Mike Pompeo Tears Into John Kerry For His Iran Criticism: He Needs to ‘Get Off the Stage’

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blasted one of his predecessors, John Kerry, for — in his view — undermining President Donald Trump by meeting with Iranian leadership.

Sitting for a rare interview on the Ingraham Angle Thursday, Pompeo ripped Kerry’s continued diplomatic efforts now that he’s no longer in office.

“Secretary Kerry can’t seem to get off the stage,” Pompeo said. “And you have to. When I’m the former secretary, I’ll get off. Every previous secrertary’s done that too.

“It’s okay to talk with them, but you have to be working for America, working for American foreign policy. [He is] not. [He is] working for the foreign policy that is [his], not the one that belongs to the United States.”

The Secretary of State was asked by host Laura Ingraham whether the Trump administration planned a legal action against Kerry. Pompeo punted on that query, but took the opportunity to bash Kerry once more.

“Stop it. Let it go,” Pompeo said. “You had your day. We think you got it fundamentally wrong with Iran. And we’re are trying to make it right for America.”
