Morning Joe And Cigarettes: Scarborough Smoking And Drinking A Beer On Air

Joe Scarborough is on vacation this week, but that didn’t stop him from missing an opportunity to weigh in on a World Cup segment.

This morning he called into Morning Joe via Skype. Also, he was smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer.

Scarborough wore a Netherlands jersey, and joked that he was Skyping in from there (according to Twitter, he’s in Nantucket with his family). So he had his Heineken and his…cigarette, and otherwise conducted a fairly normal World Cup segment. Meanwhile, the New York co-hosts and guests were busy awkwardly discussing whether this was actually legal.

During the rest of the show, Mika Brzezinski tried to impress that this was all a joke, and Scarborough doesn’t drink or smoke. Well, yes it was a joke – but he also was drinking and smoking.
