Neil DeGrasse Tyson Will Be the Voice of a Cartoon Pig

Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson is very well-known for his science advocacy and his television appearances (as well as hosting Cosmos), and now he’s going to be doing the voice of a cartoon pig. Yes, you read that exactly right.

Tyson did some guest work for the Disney TV show Gravity Falls (this clip should give you some idea of what the show is like). It centers around two young twins who encounter strange mysteries in the town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. One of the twins has a pig named Waddles.

Well, in an upcoming episode of Gravity Falls, Tyson will be providing the voice of Waddles.

According to Time, Waddles eats some brain-enhancing jelly that makes him smart enough to create a machine that allows him to communicate with humans.

Tyson said of the guest role, “I’m a fan of helping anything get smarter. Even if it’s a pig.”
