New Clinton Ad Shows How Many Times Pence Contradicted Trump During Debate

The Hillary Clinton campaign has a new video out, and it suggests that Tim Kaine did what he was supposed to do last night whether or not he lost his debate to Mike Pence.

Kaine spent the majority of the night on the offensive, barraging Pence with a list of Donald Trump‘s various controversies and challenging him to defend them. While Pence counterpunched and maneuvered around talking about Trump, there were several instances where Pence insisted that Trump didn’t say something he did say or otherwise,misrepresented what Trump did say.

Clinton’s campaign was taking notice, and so, they put out a new video about what Pence and Trump have said about things like Vladimir Putin, immigration, and nuclear proliferation.

By the ad’s reckoning, it would appear there’s some mixed messaging taking place. Still, the video offers a bit of sympathy on Pence, saying “we’d have a hard time defending [Trump], too.”
