New, lurid details are emerging from a lawsuit accusing skateboarder Shaun White of sexual harassment.
According to TMZ Sports, Lena Zawaideh is suing the 29-year-old White, alleging that, among other things, White sent images to her phone that the website describes as “sexually explicit and graphic.”
TMZ produced text messages alleged to have come from White, a two-time Olympic Gold medal winning snowboarder. One of the texts read, “U cool with this outfit?”, followed by a picture of a woman wearing a see-through top.
White and Zawaideh teamed up to form a rock band in 2008. Zawaideh is alleging that White would scold her when she dressed in outfits he deemed conservative.
Zawaideh issued the following statement about her lawsuit.
I am pursuing this case because women should not have to tolerate harassment at work. Shaun White should not be allowed to do whatever he wants just because he is famous. Although I am embarrassed to have been treated this way, I cannot sit by and watch him do this to other women.
