New Trump Ad Shows Obama Taking Selfies While ISIS Attacks Continue

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump dropped a new ad attacking President Barack Obama on Instagram.

The short ad, which demands “serious leadership” for America, takes footage from the president’s interview with BuzzFeed last February and edits it together with various news clips pertaining to ISIS. Other than the ad’s title and the Trump campaign’s title card, no text or words other than Obama’s own interrupt the images.

We need a great leader- now!

A CNN report on ISIS’ renewed call for attacks in Europe in the U.S. accompanies Obama making silly faces, footage from the Paris attacks precedes the president cracking a smile, and so on.

Considering Trump’s usual type of Instagram ad, this one actually takes a serious tone. Of course it’s somewhat vacuous as Obama isn’t running for president, so while his presidency is an easy target for Trump, it doesn’t do much for his campaign against the dozen or so other Republican and Democratic candidates.
