New York Times and CNN Respond to Being Blocked From White House Gaggle

Shortly after CNN, the New York Times, and other media outlets were blocked from attending a White House press gaggle today, CNN and the NYT publicly responded.
New York Times’ executive editor Dean Baquet noted that something like this has “never happened” to the paper at the White House.

Meanwhile, CNN called the network being banned from the gaggle “unacceptable.”

A number of mainstream outlets, along with conservative ones like Breitbart and One American News, were allowed to attend. The Associated Press and TIME boycotted the gaggle due to the other outlets being refused admittance.
