Newborn Calf Named Genie Looks Exactly Like KISS Rocker Gene Simmons

A Texas calf that was born last week drew the attention of the internet — and KISS bassist/frontman Gene Simmons — for looking exactly like the long-tongued, face-painted rocker.

Heather Taccetta, who lives at the ranch where the calf was born, found it in a pasture with its mother. She later took a photo of the calf, named Genie, and shared it with Drew Taylor, who handles marketing for a steakhouse.

Taylor told ABC News that he exclaimed that the “calf looks exactly like Gene Simmons,” and then got permission from Tacetta to share the photo on Facebook, where it naturally took off.

Eventually, the post went viral, especially after Simmons himself took to Twitter to comment about it earlier this week:

And it looks like there will be a happy ending for Genie after receiving its newfound fame. Taccetta stated that the calf will not be sent to slaughter and will live on the ranch with the family.
