‘No F*cking Way’ Does Rahm Emanuel Miss the White House

Rahm Emanuel really, really does not miss working in the White House.

The Chicago mayor and former chief of staff to President Barack Obama told CQ Roll Call on Thursday there’s simply “no fucking way” he misses being a permanent fixture in Washington.

Emanuel, who was in D.C. for a visit at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., also said there’s “no fucking way” he misses being in Congress.

This reporter wondered aloud to the one-time member of House Democratic leadership if Washington would be less dysfunctional if he was around. Emanuel didn’t take the bait and threw cold water on the idea, but he noted how everybody now says things have become dysfunctional.

CQ Roll Call asked Emanuel a final question about what he was doing back.

“Money,” he said, as he walked into the West Wing.
