NY Daily News Defends Graphic WDBJ Shooting Cover
The New York Daily News has faced some harsh criticism last night and today after it decided to put still images from the WDBJ shooter’s own social media video of yesterday morning’s murders on its cover, including one of the moment reporter Alison Parker was shot.
Reached for comment today by the New York Observer, a spokesperson for Daily News said that the paper was trying “to convey the true scale of what happened in Roanoke… at a time when it is so easy for the public to become inured to such senseless violence.”
