New York Doctor Craig Spencer Tests Positive for Ebola

 

New York doctor Craig Spencer has reportedly tested positive for Ebola, according to The New York Times. Spencer was rushed to the hospital earlier today and was being tested for the virus.

Spencer was recently in West Africa treating Ebola patients. The CDC is expected to test him as well to confirm the test. Spencer had apparently traveled on both the New York subway and a taxi just last night.

Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio are expected to hold a news conference at the hospital later tonight.

UPDATE –– 8:46 p.m.: New York officials have been looking into whether he took Uber yesterday.
