Obama’s Between Two Ferns Video Gets Emmy Nomination

 

Remember when President Obama made that surprise appearance in the web series Between Two Ferns? Well, funny story. The Emmy nominations were announced today and… yep, you guessed it. The Obama video got a nomination.

The video received an Emmy nod for Outstanding Short-Form Live-Action Entertainment Program, up against the Adult Swim show Childrens Hospital, a digital short for the NBC show Parks & Recreation, The Soup (for its True Detective parody), and this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show (featuring Bruno Mars).

You may recall that the Between Two Ferns video inspired much outrage within the conservative media, especially with Bill O’Reilly who, somewhat strangely, said that Abraham Lincoln never would have done a Funny or Die skit.
