Oregon High School Calls Off Winter Dance Over ‘Dirty Dancing’ Concerns

An Oregon high school was concerned about overtly sexual dancing at the upcoming winter formal and so they cancelled it altogether.

A KGW reporter noted in his report that it would not be too big a stretch to call the dancing “criminal in nature.”

A spokesperson for the school said, “This is way worse than dirty dancing. This is over the top, it’s sexual in nature, it’s very inappropriate.”

She said that plenty of students are concerned about not feeling safe at the dance, and so school administrators decided things have become too inappropriate for the winter dance to proceed as planned.
