‘Out of the Mainstream’: Wisconsin Governor, Senator Get Into Twitter Spat Over Neil Gorsuch
Wisconsin’s Republican governor and the state’s Democratic senator have been getting into a Twitter spat over Neil Gorsuch, President Trump‘s Supreme Court nominee.
Baldwin has already declared her intention to vote against Gorsuch, and Walker responded thusly:
Sen. Baldwin is out of the mainstream. Refuses to meet with judge whose experience is nearly identical to Judge Garland. pic.twitter.com/ufmLyrGo3J

Baldwin responded and kicked off their hours-long Twitter spat:
Your opportunity to weigh in on Gorsuch ended with your short-lived Pres campaign. Focus on fixing WI's roads and bridges. #priorities https://t.co/BYCTa1Tyds

.@TammyBaldwin Maybe that plays well in Madison but the rest of the state would like a Senator. https://t.co/UNnBoNToVR

.@TammyBaldwin Apparently pandering to liberal special interests in Washington is more important to you than listening to WI residents. https://t.co/UNnBoNToVR

.@ScottWalker This Wisconsin Senator is standing up for the people of Wisconsin, not powerful interests in DC. https://t.co/SKv2Oim1qO

.@TammyBaldwin You should read this column before deciding your vote on the #SCOTUS https://t.co/cg6NZdIHyE
