Paula Deen Makes Public Appearance, Apologizes to ‘Those Who Did Not Hear Me’
Paula Deen has been quietly mounting a comeback after the controversy over her past usage of the n-word sank her career last year, and the celebrity chef made a public appearance yesterday at the Beach Wine and Food Festival, and wanted to make it clear she sincerely regrets what she’s said in the past, and while she did not directly address the controversy, she did issue another heartfelt apology to make it clear how sorrowful she is.
Deen said, “I have heard on more than one occasion… that I’ve never apologized. So if anybody did not hear me apologize, I would like to apologize to those who did not hear me.”
She thanked her fans for all their support, and was joined on stage by Food Network’s Robert Irvine, who got down on his hands and knees and let Deen ride on him like a horse as she shouted, “I’m back in the saddle!”
Deen’s new company recently received a big investment as she’s been making her comeback.
