People Mag: Ivanka Trump is Her Father’s ‘Favorite’

A People Magazine story came out Thursday that made a bold statement: “Ivanka Trump Has Always Been Most Like Her Father – and His Favorite.”

In it included a lot of sources that backed their statement, HOWEVER all their sources were anonymous. Still, if they are true, they include a lot of insight on the father/daughter team.

The individual named “a Trump administration source,” told them, “He has always liked that she was pretty and looked good on his arm.”

As disturbing as this statement may come across, it is not out of line for Trump. He has described his daughter as “hot,” “one of the great beauties of the world,” “got the best body,” and “if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

The reputable “Manhattan source who’s done business with the family” also told People that, “It’s not vulgar. It’s, ‘This is his crown jewel, presenting it to the world.’ She’s his creation.”

The piece analyzes the competition between Ivanka and her brothers Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. The case that People made for why she is obviously his favorite is because of her position as adviser in the White House, as well as her husband Jared Kusher‘s job as senior adviser. Meanwhile her brothers are only in charge of Donald Trump‘s real estate and branding empire.

Their “New York business source” said, “Donald’s love is tied to performance. They love him fiercely, and they are desperate for approval.”

The final nugget of evidence, which came from a source “close to the family,” gave the best insight on the two:

“Ivanka is very aggressive, but wants to make sure that she’s not perceived as being like her dad. She’s tried to handle herself by making it clear she loves her father dearly, but separating herself from the very worst of things….Because she’s the most like him, she does things to try to distinguish herself from his worst qualities.”
