Philadelphia 76ers Tweet, Then Delete Attack on John Kasich

The official Twitter account for the Philadelphia 76ers tweeted and then deleted an attack on Republican presidential candidate John Kasich.

The gibe came after ABC digital journalist Ben Gittleson tweeted out that Kasich was trash-talking the NBA team during a speech in New Hampshire.

The tweets apparently caught the 76ers’ attention, and they hit back at the candidate. Although they deleted the tweet, Gittelson managed to screencap it.

The 76ers are likely referring to Kasich’s low poll numbers. The current RealClearPolitics average finds Kasich is polling at exactly 2.0%.

Of course, the 76ers shouldn’t exactly be throwing stones in a glass house. The 2014-2015 team finished third worst in the nation. Their crowning achievement for the season was that they were barely better than the New York Knicks.
