Police Investigate Threats Made Against Reid over Bundy Remarks
Federal law enforcement is investigating threats made against Senator Harry Reid over comments he made about Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy. According to POLITICO, the U.S. Capitol Police are “currently looking into threatening statements’ made against the Senate Majority Leader.
Reid, you may recall, referred to the Nevada rancher’s supporters as “domestic terrorists” and when pressed on the issue, he doubled down. So the threats Reid reportedly got are a result of those remarks.
The only thing, though: those comments were made before Bundy’s views on slavery and “the Negro” were made public, at which point a large number of the rancher’s supporters ran as fast as they could from him. After that news came out, Reid issued a statement calling Bundy a “hateful racist.”
