Police Officer Shot Near Ferguson
During all the protests tonight in Ferguson over the grand jury decision, a police officer in neighboring University City was shot. It is unknown at this point whether this is connected to the Ferguson protests or not.
According to KSDK, the officer was taken to a nearby hospital and Fox2Now is reporting he was shot in the arm and is expected to be okay.
The St. Louis County Police Department, meanwhile, made it clear on Twitter they’re looking into the matter, but they didn’t say for certain this is connected to the Ferguson protests:
A U. City police officer has been shot. Condition is unknown. Search for suspect underway. It is unclear if related to #FergusonDecision
