President Obama Will Guest-Edit Wired‘s November Issue on Tech Frontiers

Wired announced in a statement on Tuesday that President Obama will join them in November as a guest editor. The technology magazine frequently invites on figures like J.J. Abrams and Bill Gates when addressing particular subjects, and the president will be brought on board for the theme of “Frontiers.”

Obama’s collaboration with Wired will come after a Frontiers Conference being held by the White House in October. The event will focus on various innovations in American technologies, and Wired indicated that it shows how Obama reflects the pioneering interests of the Founding Fathers.

“When the Founders wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, they were at the bleeding edge of Enlightenment philosophy and technology,” said Editor-In-Chief Scott Dadich. “We want to wrestle with the idea of how today’s technology can influence political leadership. And who better to help us explore these ideas than President Obama?”
