Randy Quaid Arrested In Canada ‘By An Actual Tall Midget’

Actor Randy Quaid was arrested in Canada on Wednesday.

According to Variety, he was detained in Montreal for undisclosed reasons. Canadian immigration officials told TMZ that they were handling the case and that Quaid is scheduled to appear at a hearing on Thursday.

Aside from TMZ’s apparent source with Canada’s Department of Citizenship and Immigration, the only other confirmation of the Quaids’ arrest comes from his wife Evi Quaid, who briefly discussed the matter on Twitter. Early Wednesday morning, she described Canada’s government as “corrupt” and consisting of “sexist pigs,” and called Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper “a fucking asshole.” She even renounced her Canadian citizenship, which she received in 2010 when the pair sought refugee status in the country.

Hours later, she posted a cryptic tweet about the actual arrest:

What, pray tell, is “an actual tall midget”? Evi never explains, unfortunately, an aside from tweeting a plea for the French Acadiens along the east coast to attend Randy’s hearing.

Hey, at least this isn’t another faux-Rupert Murdoch sex tape.
