REPORT: Clinton and Trump Campaigns Make Last-Minute World Series Ad Buy
With likely the largest audience for a baseball game since 2004 expected for tonight’s World Series Game 7, both Presidential campaigns have made the last-minute decision to get their message out to voters during the broadcast.
CNN’s Brian Stelter reports that both the Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump campaigns have purchased ad time during tonight’s FOX telecast.
Stelter reports that the Trump campaign has purchased three ads, while the CLinton campaign has purchased four.
However, all but one of the ads are “floating,” according to Stelter, meaning they are not assigned to air at any set time during the game. Undoubtedly, both campaigns will be hoping for lots of pitching changes to make sure FOX gets all of their spots on the broadcast.
Two Hillary Clinton ads aired during the Game 6 telecast, while Trump did not make a Game 6 ad buy — although the NRA, which has endorsed Trump, did purchase an ad. That organization has also bought a spot for Game 7.
