Reporter ‘Live-Tweets’ the Resurrection of Jesus for Easter

 

If the resurrection of Jesus happened in the age of the Twitter and the internet, how would it have been covered? How would the press react to what they were witnessing? Well, that’s exactly what WKYT/WYMT reporter Phil Pendleton did yesterday, “live-tweeting” as if he were reporting on the resurrection of Jesus as it happened.

Pendleton tweeted he was partly inspired by a number of news outlets live-tweeting the assassination of John F. Kennedy last year in honor of the 50th anniversary of that tragic event. Pendleton decided to do just that, acting like a stereotypically frantic reporter on the day of Jesus’ resurrection.
