Richard Dawkins, Neil DeGrasse Tyson Tell Maher Engaging with Science Deniers Is Important
Two of the biggest names in science right now––Richard Dawkins and Neil DeGrasse Tyson––came together on Bill Maher‘s show last night to drop some science.
They did not appear together on the show itself––Dawkins talked with Maher solo before the panel about “regressive” liberals and Islam while Tyson talked about Mars and scientifically ignorant politicians as the mid-show guest––but in the online-only Overtime segment, Maher put them side-by-side and got really excited about how much SCIENCE! was in the room.
They tackled everything from whether it’s worth it to engage with people who reject evolution to artificial intelligence to just how amazing science it.
At one point Maher joked that they should just do a buddy cop movie together and solve everything with science.
