RNC Taunts Michael Cohen in New Video: ‘Have Fun in Prison!’

The Republican National Committee put out a video this afternoon going after former Trump lawyer (and former RNC deputy finance chair) Michael Cohen ahead of his anticipated congressional testimony this week.

On Twitter, the official GOP account shared the video and said, “For years, Michael Cohen praised @realDonaldTrump’s honesty and integrity… It was only after Cohen was caught for tax evasion and other personal financial misdeeds, he began lying about President Trump in an effort to save face.”

The video shows all of Cohen’s effusive, over-the-top praise of Trump before ending with this message to the president’s former lawyer and their former deputy finance chair: “Have fun in prison!”

Per Fox News, the video is just part of the big RNC effort to combat Cohen’s testimony, with RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel saying, “It’s unfortunate Democrats are wasting the public’s time with this established liar in an effort to distract from the historic progress President Trump is making overseas with North Korea.”
