Hey, Rick Perry, let’s talk. I just listened to Rush Limbaugh and he has some good news and some bad news for you. The good news is that, even though you’re no longer the front runner, he still thinks you’re totally an A-lister! Isn’t that awesome? The bad news, though (and this is really insignificant), is that he was referring to you being an “A-list magician” since you did such a good job of disappearing during the debate last night.
See how good I was at burying the lead there? I should totally be someone’s campaign manager.
But, yeah, Limbaugh was not a fan of Perry’s performance last night at the debate. He wouldn’t definitively say that Perry was finished, but things didn’t sound good.
So, with a heavy heart, Limbaugh moved onto…sigh…Mitt Romney’s prospects. He acknowledged that Romney’s expertise had shown in all of his debate appearances, however, he pointed out the major issues that would come in a general election.
“Now ‘Romneycare,’ if he’s the nominee, ‘Romneycare’ is not going to get a pass. It is going to be the bludgeon that the Democrats use. Romney can say he’s going to repeal ‘Obamacare’ all he wants but then they’ll come back and say, ‘Oh, yeah? Well, you helped us implement it! It’s identical. We took your plan in Massachusetts and we built on it. Now you want to repeal ours but you don’t want to repeal yours when they’re identical?’ So that’s a big problem.”
Of course, at the very least we can still see Romney, right?
