Shooter Reportedly at Large After Opening Fire Outside Canadian Parliament (UPDATED)
One soldier was shot Wednesday morning when at least one shooter opened fire on the War Memorial in Ottawa, adjacent to Canada’s Parliament Building. Government buildings were quickly placed on lockdown.
Early details were scant. 1-2 shooters were reported, and authorities said they had located one car belonging to the assailant(s).

The shooting comes just after Canada upped its threat level, following an incident Monday in which two Canadian soldiers were run down by a driver believed to be a radical Muslim. One of the soldiers died.

UPDATE: Reports are now emerging of multiple shots inside the Parliament building. Canadian authorities now believe they are dealing with 2-3 shooters:

UPDATE 11:36 a.m.: The New York Times reported that the wounded soldier has died.
According to CBC, one gunman is reported dead inside the Parliament. Officials believe other suspects remain at large.
