Singer Who Performed at Inauguration ‘Disappointed’ by Trump Rollback of Transgender Student Rules

Jackie Evancho, who sang the national anthem at President Trump‘s inauguration, tonight tweeted her disappointment after news that his administration is rolling back Obama-era rules designed to protect transgender students.
Evancho’s sister Juliet is transgender and her family has been very public about supporting her.
Evancho posted a message on Twitter expressing her disappointment with the president and her hope that Trump will meet with her and her sister:
I am obviously disappointed in the @POTUS decision to send the #transgender bathroom issue to the states to decide. #sisterlove
