Someone Else Tried to Fly a Drone Near White House, Got Arrested

Months after a drone crashed onto White House grounds, a man was detained by Secret Service today and arrested for apparently attempting to fly a drone over the White House.

Here’s one of the images taken on the scene, showing the suspect being detained:

President Obama, for the record, was at Camp David, not the White House.

The White House was placed on lockdown while the incident was ongoing and was lifted hours ago.

And in an amusing bit of timing, it was literally just yesterday that the FAA launched a public campaign to make it clear that D.C. is a “No-Drone Zone.”
