State Dept. Asks for Solutions to Counter Extremists; GOP Sen. Trolls Them
The White House held a summit on combating violent extremism this week, so today the State Department asked people on Twitter to share their thoughts on how to combat extremists:
We want your input. Share solutions you think are critical to countering violent extremism. http://t.co/lmVRNT7CAl pic.twitter.com/ivZKtwEQ8a
— Department of State (@StateDept) February 20, 2015
Now, of course, much of the response they got wasn’t exactly what they were looking for:
Isn't that YOUR job? "@StateDept: We want your input. Share solutions you think are critical to countering violent extremism."

.@StateDept If they promise not to behead them, we'll throw in a mariachi band.

But Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton noticed too, and decided to troll them with some actual suggestions:
Glad you asked-I have some ideas…RT @StateDept: We want your input. Share solutions you think are critical to countering violent extremism
