Steve Wynn Stepping Down as RNC Finance Chair Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Steve Wynn, the Vegas casino mogul facing numerous allegations of sexual misconduct is stepping down from his position as RNC finance chair.
UPDATE –– 2:52 pm ET: RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel confirmed it in a statement shortly after the reports came out:
This is the RNC statement on Steve Wynn:
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: "Today I accepted Steve Wynn’s resignation as Republican National Committee Finance Chair."
It makes no mention of:
– all the money he donated to the RNC
– the sexual assault allegations against him— Abby D. Phillip (@abbydphillip) January 27, 2018
Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn is stepping down as Republican National Committee finance chair, according to three Republicans familiar with the decision.
Yesterday the Wall Street Journal documented the numerous allegations against Wynn, and for some curious reason President Trump‘s Twitter account briefly “liked” the WSJ tweet linking to the report.
There have been questions about the RNC’s silence on the news about Wynn––also a big donor––particularly given how vocal the RNC and Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel were about the DNC when the first Harvey Weinstein exposé broke.
