Straight Shooter? Rush Limbaugh Claims Ignorance About Tucson Billboard Controversy

 

Yesterday an image of a Tucson area billboard promoting conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh circulated around the Internet, featuring bullet holes and the phrase “Straight Shooter.” Some clearly saw the billboard as an apt metaphor, in light of the recent events in Arizona and allegations of toxic discourse of with Mr. Limbaugh has been directly accused of participating.

On today’s show, Limbaugh responded to the billboard, first claiming that he wasn’t aware of it, before adding that he thought that the billboard was made to look like “people that didn’t like me were shooting at the billboard!” Right. Either way, as we reported earlier, the billboard has been taking down in deference to the victims.
