Tsarnaev Mother Suggested She Knew Son Would Die For Islam, Fox’s Megyn Kelly Reports
Fox News details new information in the case of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, with a new report on the FBI briefing lawmakers that two years ago the Tsarnaev brother’s mother texted family members indicated a belief that her eldest son would be willing to die in the name of Islam. The report also reveals that a federal judge intervened and came to the hospital where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was being questioned, interrupting the FBI’s interrogation.
The report cites two anonymous sources on Capitol Hill confirming the FBI briefing lawmakers on the texts, the newest detail in a story that has increasingly become more about the radical Islamic beliefs of the bombing suspects.
There was also reportedly some confusion regarding the arrival of a federal judge in the hospital where the younger brother was being questioned.
Fox News’ sources say there was confusion about Bowler’s timing, with some voicing concerns that investigators were not given enough time to question Dzhokhar under the “public safety exemption” invoked by the Justice Department.
The FBI was reportedly stunned to see the judge show up, and expressed their concern that “valuable intelligence may have been sacrificed” in the confusion.
