The Texas GOP Wants to Repeal the Patriot Act
On Wednesday the Republican Party of Texas released the final draft of its 2014 platform, the rough version of which has been causing controversy over its endorsement of so-called “reparative therapy” to cure homosexuality. But Texas Tribune’s Aman Batheja flags another interesting plank: the Texas GOP wants to repeal the Patriot Act.
This, Batheja helpfully screenshots, is somewhat different from the last time the state party drew up a list of non-binding principles:
