This Tiny Hamster Isn’t Worried About Alleged July 4th Terror Threats

The media went into “OH MY GOD WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE” overdrive on Monday when Fox News, CBS News, and other outlets reported that FBI was concerned about possible terror threats during the July 4th weekend. Former CIA insider Michael Morell went so far as to tell CBS This Morning that he “wouldn’t be surprised if we’re sitting here a week from today talking about an attack over the weekend in the United States. That’s how serious this is.”

Whether or not any of this amounts to anything remains to be seen. Until then, the crew behind the highly successful “Tiny Hamster” YouTube series isn’t wasting any time getting ready for the weekend’s festivities. They published their eighth episode on Monday, during which the titular hamster and his animal friends celebrate Independence Day with a tiny barbecue.

Is it silly? Yes, it’s silly. Hell, this video screams “Internet” as loud as it possibly can. But it’s still a good, from-left-field reminder to chill the f*ck out and enjoy the holiday weekend with family and friends. Or else the terrorists win.
