Tiger Woods Arrested For DUI
Golfer, Tiger Woods was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Memorial Day.
The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida. The news was first reported by Palm Beach local WPTV
A mug shot released Monday will likely follow the golfer for a long time.

Woods was released from jail at roughly 10:50 a.m.
Though he hasn’t been heard from much recently, Woods was once the most famous golfer of his generation. After winning the PGA tour Rookie of the Year in 1996, Woods went on to win four Masters tournaments, four PGA championships, and three U.S. opens. He was PGA’s player of the year 11 times between 1997 and 2013.
In recent years Woods has experienced numerous health problems. The golfer has had four back surgeries over the last three years, but nevertheless expressed a desire to return to the links competitively.
UPDATE — 9:06 a.m. EST: Woods has put out a statement about the arrest, saying it was due to an “unexpected reaction to prescription medications,” not alcohol.
