Toilet Paper Dispenser Stands Its Ground, Shoots Kentucky Man in Leg
In a rare case in which someone should have unloaded before going to the bathroom, a Kentucky man was shot in the leg Sunday when he place his loaded handgun on the toilet paper dispenser at the Elizabethtown Fazoli’s restaurant. The man told police that the gun slipped off of the dispenser and fell to the floor, where it discharged, hitting the man in the leg. He was taken to the hospital, and is expected to recover fully.
From the Hardin County News Enterprise:
He set his pistol on the toilet paper dispenser while using the restroom and it slipped off and shot him in the leg, said Elizabethtown Police Sgt. David Neary.
Evidence such as bullet trajectory supported the man’s description of events, Neary said.
The man did have a concealed carry permit, police said.
No arrests have been made, but police are following up on a lead that patrons clearly heard the man, prior to the shooting, being warned not to squeeze the Charmin.
Here’s a news brief on the story, from Louisville, Kentucky’s WAVE:
