Trump and Cohen May Have Known About Some Schneiderman Allegations a Few Years Ago, Attorney Says

Remember those old tweets from President Trump going after Eric Schneiderman and calling him “worse than Spitzer or Weiner”?

Well, he may have actually known about some allegations against the now-ex New York AG.

Per Bloomberg, attorney Peter Gleason filed a letter in federal court requesting a protective order regarding “my discussions with Mr. Cohen regarding my discussions with Mr. Cohen concerning two women that were sexually victimized by Mr. Schneiderman.”

Yes, Gleason says that women came to him a few years ago with details of serious allegations against Schneiderman, and at one point he spoke with Cohen about it.

He also says Trump was told:

Gleason says he discussed the women’s allegations with a retired New York Post journalist, Stephen Dunleavy, who offered to discuss the matter with Trump. “Mr. Dunleavy did indeed discuss this very matter with Mr. Trump as evidenced by a phone call I received from attorney Michael Cohen,” Gleason wrote to the judge.

Schneiderman resigned his office earlier this week after a bombshell New Yorker exposé shared the accounts of four women with allegations of physical violence against Schneiderman. Schneiderman denied engaging in any “non-consensual” activity but said he’s “engaged in role-playing.”

UPDATE: Ronan Farrow, who helped break the Schneiderman story for the New Yorker, denied that Trump was his source:
