Trump Blames ‘Mitch M & Paul R’ Over Debt Ceiling: ‘Could Have Been So Easy-Now a Mess!’
The GOP civil war continues.
President Trump got back on Twitter to swipe at House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for not raising the debt ceiling.
I requested that Mitch M & Paul R tie the Debt Ceiling legislation into the popular V.A. Bill (which just passed) for easy approval. They…

…didn't do it so now we have a big deal with Dems holding them up (as usual) on Debt Ceiling approval. Could have been so easy-now a mess!

There are current efforts in Congress to pass a spending package that will raise the borrowing limit and keep the government open in September. UPDATE – 8:54 a.m. EST: Trump also swung at the media as he defended the drastic differences in his conduct from his most recent speaking engagements:

…(enthusiastic, dynamic and fun) and the American Legion – V.A. (respectful and strong). To bad the Dems have no one who can change tones!

UPDATE – 9:10 a.m. EST: Trump re-issued his speech tweets, presumably after he got rid of the originals due to spelling errors.

UPDATE – 9:39 a.m. EST: Trump also attacked James Clapper after the former DNI director questioned the president’s fitness for office after his incendiary speech in Arizona.
James Clapper, who famously got caught lying to Congress, is now an authority on Donald Trump. Will he show you his beautiful letter to me?

UPDATE – 9:45 a.m. EST: One more jab at McConnell.
The only problem I have with Mitch McConnell is that, after hearing Repeal & Replace for 7 years, he failed! That should NEVER have happened!
