Trump Fan Scott Brown Has a ‘Message for President Obama’
Former Massachusetts Senator and eternal Elizabeth Warren punching bag Scott Brown was stumping for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in New Hampshire Saturday, where he decided that it would be a good idea to take on an increasingly popular sitting president, rather than simply support his own candidate or attack his opponent. For a good portion of his remarks at a Trump rally in Windham, New Hampshire, Brown tore into President Obama, at one point dramatically pausing to tell the crowd he has a “message for President Obama.”
After a long wind-up, Brown finally delivered the pitch:
Mr. President, with all due respect, it’s not gonna happen.
As of this week, the polls say otherwise, but hope springs eternal in Trumpland.
Brown also squeezed in another unfortunate line, given the way Trump’s unfitness to hold the nuclear codes has dominated the political news cycle this week. We all make mistakes, he pointed out, but there’s something that sets Donald Trump’s mistakes apart:
Donald Trump’s mistakes have not cost people their lives.
I think I speak for many Americans when I say “Let’s keep it that way.”
