Trump Hammers Media For ‘Vicious’ Speculation on Melania’s ‘Near Death’ and ‘Facelift’

President Donald Trump tore into the media Wednesday — which, in and of itself, is not exactly news, nor in any way out of the ordinary. But what was noteworthy was the fact that he did so on behalf of his wife, Melania Trump.

Trump spoke out on behalf of the First Lady — who has not often been seen in public over the past few weeks following her release from the hospital after what was reported to be a minor procedure. There has been much speculation regarding the First Lady’s whereabouts, and Trump apparently finds it all to be unsavory.

“The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania,” Trump wrote. “During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!”

The president went on to claim that four reporters withheld a Melania sighting from the public.

Contrary to Trump’s claim, however, CNBC Washington correspondent Eamon Javers did, in fact, report on his Melania sighting.
